Sanja Muranovic

A seasoned litigator and passionate advocate, Sanja focuses her practice on complex commercial disputes. She has over a decade of experience assisting clients with negotiating settlements, navigating litigation, and winning trials and appeals.

Sanja also focuses her practice on cross-border disputes, including international arbitration and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitration awards in the United States. She particularly enjoys helping domestic and foreign clients navigate complex cross-border discovery issues, including helping U.S. litigants obtain evidence abroad and foreign litigants secure evidence in the U.S.

Sanja has practiced before state and federal courts at all levels and arbitral tribunals around the world. She represents clients across diverse industries and economic sectors, including energy, oil and gas, technology, agriculture, finance and securities, real estate, waste management, and healthcare.

Before starting her own practice at Muranovic Law PLLC and joining Foster Yarborough as Of Counsel, Sanja practiced complex commercial litigation and international arbitration at AmLaw Top100-ranked BakerHostetler in Houston, Texas and Miller Nash in Portland, Oregon.

Sanja earned her law degree in 2012 from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Environmental Law Journal, a member of the Board of Advocates, and won first place in the School’s Locke Lorde Mock Trial competition. Before law school, Sanja graduated summa cum laude from Boston University and spent a year studying public policy at the prestigious Institut d’études politiques de Paris(Sciences Po) in France.

A native of Bosnia raised in Houston, Sanja has traveled and lived around the world. She speaks Bosnian (and Serbian/Croatian), French, and English.

Sanja is admitted to practice in Texas and Oregon.
